Harris tweed and vintage quilt squares cushion cover
£75.00Precio
vintage Harris Tweed paired with antique handsewn cotton quilting squares from America! The squares are utterly amazing, I'm not experienced in dating fabrics but from the feel and discolouration I reckon they're at least 1950s if not even earlier. Possibly they are feedsack cloth from the great depression era when flour sacks were printed with patterns when the companies realised women were reusing them to make dresses. Each seam painstakingly sewn by hand, you wish they could talk so you could discover the story behind each piece of fabric! Was that a summer frock? Or part of a table cloth? Or a little girls pinafore?
